This is one of my absolute favorite records when it comes to soft music and lush arrangements. This possibly is the most romantic music ever heard, but hear for yourself. By the way, this cover alone is worth having the album, it´s as beautiful as Les Baxter´s "Jewels of the Sea" (see below). Unfortunately, I only got side A, so I guess I forgot to go back to get side B back in September of last year when I downloaded it. I am not a premium user of Rapidshare, so I have to download each side separately when they are split up.
Pinicchio, this may be the absolutely most beautiful album who have posted so far or will ever post. A soothing departure from the usual more raucous and jazzy Riddle albums. Percy Faith meets Les Baxter. Simply gorgeous. Thank you so much for posting this one.
I realize my post comes along many years later than this post, but I wanted to concur that this is one of the most beautiful albums ever recorded. I cannot think of a finer example of lush strings and heart-tugging melodies. This is also one of the most dynamic albums I've ever heard. Back in the days when engineers knew how to use compression properly so that everything wasn't always on "10" so to speak, and the music was allowed to breathe. I give this record the highest possible recommendation. Cheers.
