James Last - Classics Up To Date (1966)

This is "Classic", even in the literal sense of this word. Just like Ray Conniff with his "Concert in Rhythm" Maestro James Last "popped" old music up. He did this 9 (!) times, not only twice like Ray. So, if you like this kind of "classical" music, you can consider yourself happy, ´cause I´m planning on putting up some more of this. For those who are not familiar with this kind of music, I´ve put the names of the original composers in brackets behind the title. Listen and learn that classical music can be fun, especially when tuned up by our "Hansi"...

This is an album I used to have many many years ago (I lost it when I came from Mozambique in the early 70's). Thanks for the memories, my friend. I only wanted better scans from the covers (front and back). Is it possible for you to e-mail me the scans? I would be very grateful to you. Thanks!

Since my camera broke down last week, I only have the resources I find on the web. Sorry, but You´ll have to wait until my camera returns from Canon.

Excellent James Last album that often appears at boot sales yet is far better than that! The track selections & arrangements are seriously good...but Last suffers from a kind of prejudice against the uncool which is a great pity.

In recent years, his Voodoo album from the early 70s has received praise from the cool, but it's actually quite a gimmicky affair with only limited appeal.

Hi Pinnichio!
I've found it, I've found it! And I've put the album on-line again, at Rato Records. I hope you don't mind. Anyway, I've put also a direct link to your great site (by the way, it's getting better and better every week, once again my congratulations to your efforts. And I know very well what it cost to maintain a site or blog with such quality)
